Welcome to Beat Street Dancewear and Academy Wear Manufacturing.
We are a second generation family owned business established in 1986. We offer our customers the old fashion personal service, drawing from a wealth of knowledge that we have gained through years of experience, whether it is advising customers on the best style and brand of shoes or dancewear that would best suit them, or helping to design costumes or club uniforms.
Our customers are very important to us. We have a number of customers that came to us as a child, when they were dancing, and now bring their children to our shop for their dancing needs. We personally fit all shoes, with particular attention to the proper fitting of Pointe Shoes, as it is extremely important to dancers, no matter how young or old, that their shoes fit their feet correctly for proper support.
Academy Wear is our manufacturing side of Beat Street Dancewear. We manufacture Dancewear - Basic class dancewear to costuming for concerts, eisteddfods and productions. Athletics Tops and Shorts for clubs. Gymnastics - Basic Trainer Leotards, Tops and Shorts to Competition outfits for Schools and Clubs.
Our beautiful shop is located in Carlton, near Carlton railway station. We sell the best brands from around the world at the best price. We are not only a "One Stop Shop" for Dancers and Gymnasts of all ages and levels, we also carry an array of Dress-ups, Accessories and Gifts.
