Academy Wear has been manufacturing high quality garments for dance, gymnastics and athletics since 1986. Originally starting out as a wholesale manufacturer, selling to dance shops thoughout Australia and New Zealand, then selling to the public through our retail shop Beat Street Dancewear. Since moving to Carlton, we now concentrate on selling through our shop direct to Schools, Dance Schools, Athletics and Gymnastics Clubs etc. We manufacture all things stretch, whether it is your design or ours. We can help design cost effective outfits of high quality, especially for end of year concerts. We use only the best Italian Lycras and other high quality fabrics, so our garments last. We carrry a large array of plain lycras, matte or shinny, prints, stretch velvets, foils & Holograms, mesh, as well as new technology Supplex and Recycled Lycras to choose from.
